Turkey Run State Park will be making some upgrades thanks to a $10,000 grant.
According to WTHITV, the Indiana Natural Resource Foundation is providing the grant with the money reportedly going towards improving trail 3 which leads into the Rocky Hollow-Falls Canyon Nature Preserve. Efforts will be made to make the trail more user-friendly and safe for visitors.
The preserve contains narrow canyons surrounded by high walls of sandstone with an abundance of natural plant life. Miniature waterfalls can also be seen at the head of gorges and a portion of the area has been designated a National Natural Landmark.
