BATTER UP: Greenwood Launches Youth Sports Complex Plan

Mayor of Greenwood, Mark W. Myers, and Indy Fuel owners Jim and Sean Hallett announced the construction of a massive youth sports complex along I-65 and County Line Road in Greenwood.

The $40 million project would include two phases. The first is a 175,000-square-foot facility that would house two ice rinks, two turf fields, five basketball courts that can also be used for volleyball, a fitness/training facility, pro shop, locker rooms, and food service facilities.

Ryan Gershman with Gershman Properties told FOX59 that they hope to open the complex in 2019.
